AB Malmö Strumpfabrik's history begins in 1926 with the Swedish-born former wholesale trader Kurt Levin founded the stock company Nordisk Strømpefabrik in Copenhagen. The same year, the duty was reduced to silk stockings, and it was not profitable to manufacture socks in Denmark so that the operations were moved to Malmö.
