FOOD MANAGEMENT Several of the buildings that remain in the area today constitute physical traces of Nyhamnen’s history as a food management harbour. Saltimporten (where salt was loaded and unloaded) and the grain silos at Hullkajen are good examples. Together, these buildings form a picture of Malmö’s role as a regional center in a fertile agricultural district, and of the increasing centralization and reorganization of society. |
